# EU PIC Regulation Update: 34 Additional Chemicals Added to Annex I

A further 34 chemicals have been added to Annex I of the EU Prior Informed Consent (PIC) Regulation through the publication of [Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/1278](https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=OJ:L_202601278).

The new entries will apply from **1 October 2026**. ECHA has updated its ePIC system to reflect the changes, allowing companies to begin submitting export notifications for the newly added entries ahead of the application date.
