A Meath-founded regulatory science and technology company is gaining national and international recognition for its work helping sustainable materials and products move from innovation to commercial reality. Deenamic will showcase its work at Booth 23 in Enterprise Ireland’s Innovation Arena at the National Ploughing Championships from 15 - 17 September, as the company develops digital technology designed to make complex regulatory pathways easier for businesses, researchers and innovators to navigate. Deenamic has also been selected to lead a workshop at the Global Bioeconomy Summit in Dublin in October, has been named a finalist in the Sustainability Consultancy of the Year category at the All-Island Sustainability Awards and is shortlisted for Services Exporter of the Year at the Irish Export Industry Awards.

Turning sustainable ideas into commercial products

Founded by toxicologist and medicinal chemist Louise McGrath, Deenamic works with organisations developing and manufacturing products across highly regulated markets. Its work increasingly focuses on one of the major challenges facing the circular bioeconomy: how to get innovative bio-based, recovered and sustainable materials safely and compliantly into commercial use.

Projects supported by Deenamic have included regulatory pathways for seaweed-derived materials, the use of wool in fertiliser products alongside exploration of emerging applications including biopolymers and cosmetic raw materials and the recovery and reformulation of waste solvents into new consumer and professional products. The company is now developing digital infrastructure that translates complex regulatory requirements into practical roadmaps, readiness assessments and reporting, with applications across emerging areas including Digital Product Passports, product transparency and sustainability-related regulation.

International recognition

On 20 October, McGrath will lead the workshop “Enabling the Global Bioeconomy Through Inclusive Digital and Regulatory Pathways” at the Global Bioeconomy Summit in Dublin. The workshop is being co-organised with the International Bioeconomy Forum and the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation.
